Due to a lack of interest in local council elections, declining trust in public representatives and a misunderstanding of politics, there has been a low rate of participation of 18-29 year olds in the Victorian local council elections.
the insight.
Voting in council elections are a necessary requirement for those who are invested in their future and can help the daily lives of the community as a whole. 18-29 year olds are one of the most common users of social media, thus playing on that factor can help.
the idea.
By creating a voting scheme that 18-29 year old users would find enjoyable and relatable, it allows them to see the bigger picture that voting for the council election is just as doable and more important for their future and community.
